The Friends would love to have you join them. Dues are very reasonable, and the level of involvement is up to you. Just fill in the Membership Form and bring or mail it in.

Friends of the Library Used Book Sale

Get great bargains on used books! Twice a month, the Friends hold a very popular used book sale in the Library. These are books the Library no longer needs or donated books. Look at these prices: hardbacks and CDs are only $1, paperbacks are 50¢, magazines are 10¢, and children's books are half price.

First Tuesday of every month 11 am - 2pm
Third Saturday of every month 9 am - noon

What We've Accomplished in the Past Year

• Entertained at the home of Cyndy & David Bailey for Annual Membership Meeting
• Attained largest membership in the history of FOL
• Donated books in honor/memory of FOL members
• Sold all of the 2nd printing of FOL cookbooks and ordered 3rd printing
• Sponsored the 4th Annual Chocolate Milk Cafe for young writers in conjunction with the Natchez Literary & Cinema Celebration
• Sponsored the 7th Annual Poetry Contest for 3rd & 4th graders and presented an Olympic style medal and a booklet of their poems
• Published and mailed our 4th Annual Membership Directory
• Purchased annual subscription to popular on-line database Heritage Quest
• Purchased staff T shirts for the Summer Library Program
• Continued the Used Book sale on the 1st Tuesday & 3rd Saturday
• Held successful 2008 Christmas Tour of Homes
• Approved the purchase of a flat screen TV for the purpose of showing videos
• Gave monetary contribution to each employee in appreciation of assistance provided by Library Staff
